Young cyclist Jan Christen of UAE Team Emirates-XRG claimed victory at Challenge Mallorca-Trofeo Calvià after making a decisive move in the final kilometer. The 149.6km race saw Christen break away from competitors Christian Scaroni and Frederik Wandahl in a thrilling finish. Despite Scaroni's strong performance throughout the race, he finished second, while Morgado claimed third for UAE. Christen attributed his success to effective winter training and strategic energy management during the race, marking a significant achievement for himself and his team early in the 2025 season.
I'm super happy, I have super condition and the first two races were already good with Antonio [Morgado] taking a win and now me as well.
To get away and win the race is amazing. I did some super good winter training in Gran Canaria, and could make another step forward.
