The Red Bull Roundabout Rumble criterium in Indianapolis on April 5 will spotlight diverse cycling talent, headlined by pro athlete Justin Williams. With juniors, masters, and amateurs racing alongside elite divisions, a $20,000 prize purse awaits. The event takes place at Monument Circle, known for its historical significance and vibrant cycling community. Williams expressed excitement for both seasoned professionals and local amateur riders, emphasizing the high-caliber talent expected. Meanwhile, the Shasta Gravel Hugger has been postponed to 2026, citing personal and work-related conflicts for the organizer's decision, impacting registered participants with refunds or deferrals.
"I'm eager to see some of the top pros from around the world tackle the course, but I'm more excited to witness the local riders shine in the amateur classes. It is intriguing to see the caliber of talent the city where high speed is a way of life will bring," Williams said in a Red Bull statement.
"As the race day approaches, the excitement builds for the Roundabout Rumble as features like the iconic Monument Circle will provide a unique backdrop for the competition," commented race organizers.
"All registered participants had been notified, according to Brainard, with approximately 99% confirmed to receive a full refund or defer their registration to the next event once it is announced."
"The local community's engagement in races like these truly highlights the vibrant cycling culture in Indianapolis, specifically around the acclaimed Monument Circle, a perfect venue for showcasing talent."
