Israel just wanted to destroy' in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire
Briefly

Naqoura's returning residents are grappling with emotional devastation as they confront the destruction left behind by the recent conflict. Municipal head Abbas Awada reflects on his family's home, demolished following an extended period of violence which saw thousands of lives lost and destruction of infrastructure. The ceasefire that began in late November has failed to stop Israeli attacks, leaving many disillusioned as they face the consequences of ongoing military actions targeting Hezbollah, resulting in indiscriminate damage to once vibrant communities.
I still see it as it was, Awada said softly, looking at his home. The home where he lived with his family for 15 years has been completely destroyed, leaving him to reflect on the memories and gatherings that took place there.
After more than a year of war, including a 66-day invasion, the homes and livelihoods of many in Naqoura are reduced to ruins, creating an overwhelming sense of sadness and confusion among returning residents.
