During an interview on MSNBC's The ReidOut, Wajahat Ali criticized Byron Donalds, a Black Republican backed by Trump, stating that individuals like him are merely tokens within the party. Ali compared them to 'chickens for Colonel Sanders,' emphasizing that despite their affiliations, they would never be genuinely accepted by the Republican establishment. His comments implied a critique of how the Republican Party relates to minority voices while highlighting Trump's empty endorsements. Trump's support for Donalds' potential gubernatorial bid in Florida was also discussed, showcasing the conflicting dynamics within party politics regarding race.
Every community has what I call their chickens for Colonel Sanders. Muslims had their halal chickens. The Black community has their chickens. Byron Donalds is a grown-ass Black man who referred to Donald Trump as his daddy.
They'll never love you. They'll never love you. No matter what you do. You can never wipe out that brown or Black skin.
I know Byron well, have seen him tested at the highest and most difficult levels, and he is a TOTAL WINNER! Byron has a great wife, Erika, and three beautiful sons.
Byron Donalds would be a truly Great and Powerful Governor for Florida and should fight tirelessly to secure our border, stop migrant crime.
