21-year-old arrested for Dorchester shooting that injured one
Chivaugn Nettles, 21, was arrested in connection with a Dorchester shooting near 25 Dacia St. on May 13 around 1:20 a.m. Police said the incident left one person injured with nonlife-threatening injuries. Nettles faces multiple felony charges, including assault and battery by discharge of a firearm, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm without a license. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and executed search warrants at a Huntington Avenue home and a suspect vehicle. Investigators located shell casings, projectile fragments, and two small blood trails along a building. Nettles pleaded not guilty and is held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
