At 6:20 a.m. today, deputies fired gas into the house and got Gaytan to leave, when he was arrested and taken to jail. Gaytan was booked on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, shooting at a home, child endangerment and violating a protective order.
Police said two women forced their way inside a fourth-floor unit and followed two women to a stairwell on the south side of the building. The victims took an elevator back to the fourth floor and were walking back to the apartment when one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the head of one of the victims, according to police.
A 23-year-old Toronto man, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for over a year, was arrested Friday, according to Toronto Police. Around 11:20 p.m. on Friday police found and arrested the accused, who was in a car near Bathurst Street and Dupont Street, police said in a news release on Saturday. A firearm and ammunition were also found, police say.
A Springfield-based aide to Gov. Maura Healey is charged with cocaine trafficking after prosecutors say investigators intercepted eight kilograms slated for delivery to a state office building where the man worked. LaMar Cook, 45, of Springfield, also faces charges of illegally owning a firearm and ammunition, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Wednesday in Springfield District Court and was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Friday.
