Here are the T closures and service changes scheduled for September
"From Sept. 3 to 11, service between Kenmore and Riverside will be suspended on the D branch. The shutdown will allow for track improvements and Green Line Train Protection System infrastructure installments to prevent train collisions and enforce speed limits. Shuttle buses will replace service with local buses stopping at all stops between Kenmore and Riverside, except at Beaconsfield. Express shuttle service will be offered between Copley and Riverside, Woodland, Waban, Eliot, and the Newton Highlands stops. Riders should allot for a longer commute time with a predicted additional 30 to 45 minutes for travelers going from Riverside to Government Center."
"Shuttle buses will replace service on the Orange Line between Forest Hills and North Station on two weekends: Sept. 13 to 14 and Sept. 27 to 28. During the shutdown, the signal system will be upgraded to improve efficiency and schedule reliability. Shuttle buses will stop at stations between Forest Hills and Back Bay, as well as at Copley. However, riders should use the Green Line for service between Back Bay and North Station as there will be no shuttle bus service between those stations. There will be an increase in service on the Green Line, and the Commuter Rail will be free between Forest Hills, Ruggles, Back Bay, and South Station."
The MBTA will implement September service changes affecting the Green, Orange, Blue, and Fitchburg lines. The Green Line D branch will be suspended between Kenmore and Riverside from Sept. 3 to 11 for track improvements and installation of the Green Line Train Protection System to prevent collisions and enforce speed limits. Shuttle buses will provide local and express options, with riders from Riverside to Government Center advised to expect an additional 30 to 45 minutes. The Orange Line will have weekend shuttle replacements Sept. 13–14 and Sept. 27–28 for signal upgrades, with increased Green Line service and free Commuter Rail between key downtown stations. Accessibility upgrades and station modernization at Jackson Square will prompt Orange Line service changes.
