Last month, a Fisher College student named Taylor Wilkinson was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Roxbury. A fundraiser was established to cover her funeral costs and support her family, raising more than $23,000. Police have arrested 36-year-old Christopher Baker, who is charged with several serious offenses related to the incident. Wilkinson, remembered for her community service, had been critically injured in the crash and succumbed to her injuries shortly after. The community continues to rally for justice in her memory.
Our hearts are shattered, but in the face of this devastating loss, we are determined to honor Taylor's memory and fight for justice.
The person responsible for this tragic act-a driver who fled the scene without regard for the life they ended-must be held accountable.
