The Chicago White Sox have traded catcher Chuckie Robinson to the Los Angeles Angels, receiving cash considerations in return. Robinson's performance has been below expectations.
Robinson, who just turned 30, struggled in 2024, hitting .129 with a .326 OPS and -0.5 WAR over 76 plate appearances, striking out 20 times.
Despite his struggles in the majors, Robinson has been productive at the Triple-A level, boasting a .272 average and .753 OPS with over 100 RBI in the last three seasons.
Robinson now joins former top prospect Logan O'Hoppe and Travis d'Arnaud on the Angels' roster; however, his prospects for the Opening Day roster appear slim.
