The Detroit Tigers made their first waiver claim of the offseason by adding left-handed reliever Bailey Horn from the Boston Red Sox to their 40-man roster.
Bailey Horn, 26, made his Major League Baseball debut in late June 2024, but struggled with a 6.50 ERA and a whiff rate of 20.5% on his sweeper.
Despite his challenges in 2024, Horn has shown flashes of potential, particularly in the minors where he posted a 4.54 ERA and recorded 50 strikeouts in 39⅔ innings.
Joining the Tigers makes it Horn's fourth organization since being drafted in 2020, yet he still retains two minor league options, indicating room for development.
