David Hamilton hit the lone home run, and the Red Sox added three fourth-inning runs to secure a win. Kyle Harrison delivered a solid start despite allowing several hits. Justin Slaten produced a rehab inning with three strikeouts, two called looking, boosting his promotion consideration. Caleb Bolden recorded a quality start and Cooper Adams dominated in multi-inning relief as the Sea Dogs extended a late lead. Ronald Rosario and Brooks Brannon combined for seven RBIs in the win over Binghamton. Luis Cohen exited in the fifth while Greenville managed just four hits. Melvin Hernandez retired 13 consecutive batters and went seven innings on 79 pitches.
David Hamilton hit the only home run of the night on either side, way back in the leadoff spot in the first inning, and the Red Sox plated three more runs on three hits in the fourth inning to pad their lead. It turned out to be all they needed against Jacksonville ( Marlins AAA) behind a solid start, if not a start with a few too many hits, from Kyle Harrison, and a masterclass rehab inning from Justin Slaten.
Following a quality start by Caleb Bolden, Cooper Adams was almost untouchable in a multi-inning relief spot, and that continued as the Sea Dogs built upon their late lead. It was a catchers' day against Binghamton ( Mets AA): Ronald Rosario was able to score twice off two extra-base hits (including a home run) from Brooks Brannon. The two catchers combined for seven RBIs and the Sea Dogs rolled to a win.
