The incident, which shocked the restaurant owner and her staff, occurred in front of patrons and was reported to the Boston Police Department. Faison, a prominent figure in the culinary community and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, is calling for anyone with information to come forward. She emphasized her restaurant's inclusive environment and expressed concern over the motivations behind the act.
"We've been in business in this space for 14 years and nothing like that has ever happened," said chef Tiffani Faison.
"I don't know if it matters. We're a business that's open to people whether they live here or not," Faison explained regarding her understanding of the incident.
