Oren and Alon Alexander, twin brothers charged with serious sex crimes along with friend Ohad Fisherman, claimed in court that the prosecution withheld critical evidence that could prove their innocence. Their attorney emphasized the importance of the electronic devices seized, asserting they hold information pivotal for exoneration. However, the lead prosecutor indicated that the evidence is currently with federal authorities, complicating the defense's case. The Alexanders, alongside other charges, are also facing federal sex trafficking allegations while awaiting trial.
"We know there's information in those phones that will exonerate our clients," said Miami defense attorney Edward O'Donnell IV. "They know how important those phones are."
Miami-Dade Assistant State Attorney Natalie Snyder stated she doesn't have access to the evidence, as the warrants and electronic devices are held by federal prosecutors.
