Firefighters responded to a nighttime blaze in a five-story brownstone in Carroll Gardens, New York, at roughly 10:25 p.m., successfully controlling the fire by 11:02 p.m.
Two residents sustained minor injuries during the fire incident at 588 Henry St. and were swiftly transported to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Fire Marshals, while a recent work permit for temporary light and power was issued prior to the incident.
