Brooklyn childhood education center fighting to reopen after waiting months for NYCHA to address mold issues

The Bedford Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center, operational since 1966, has halted services due to unresolved mold issues despite communicating with NYCHA about the problem.

Angela Terry remarked, "As a parent, you want to see where your child is going to be. You want to feel the place. You know, a lot of those things matter."

NYCHA acknowledged the mold issue stating, "NYCHA staff are working to address additional concerns and conduct the remaining repairs at these locations," highlighting ongoing efforts despite delays.
