Field Guide, a farm-to-table eatery in Williamsburg, has a rustic and moody design inspired by the essence of upstate New York. The Mammoth design studio transformed a former Chinese restaurant into this inviting space, drawing on head chef Tim Meyers' childhood experiences and the landscape artworks of Andrew Wyeth. The restaurant features design elements such as candle-like pendant lights and a translucent acrylic bar top, which meld soft lighting with contemporary Brooklyn aesthetics, ultimately creating an atmosphere that pays homage to pre-globalization restaurant design.
