The $328 million settlement includes $290 million from Uber and $38 million from Lyft, and it mandates significant improvements in workplace conditions for drivers.
Uber and Lyft drivers who worked for the companies during specific years are urged to file their claims by January 31, 2025, to receive compensation.
An internal investigation revealed that Uber and Lyft had withheld payments to numerous drivers and failed to provide essential employee benefits.
