PREMIUM'The Daily Buddhist' makes Buddhism accessible to Brooklynites
Briefly

Pema Sherpa and Brandon Barca, a married couple from Prospect Heights, have penned "The Daily Buddhist," a book designed to integrate Buddhist practices into everyday urban life. The book consists of 366 daily teachings drawn from various Buddhist philosophers and scholars, each paired with a reflective quote intended to inspire mindfulness and spiritual fulfillment amidst contemporary life's chaos. Both authors share their unique journeys with Buddhism, emphasizing the need for ongoing practice to combat daily distractions and stresses.
The couple aimed for these short entries to pose a moment of mindfulness, spiritual fulfilment and inner work for the modern individual with distractions and busy schedules.
So long as we are living, the causes of suffering linger around us: confusion, distractions. So in order to navigate the ups and downs of life, one must practice their entire life.
