Small plane crashes into home in Minneapolis suburb, FAA says

A SOCATA TBM7 plane from Iowa crashed in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, at approximately 12:20 p.m. local time. The crash occurred in a residential neighborhood, igniting at least one home. Fire Chief Shawn Conway indicated a grim expectation for those onboard, while all residents in the affected home were reported safe. Governor Tim Walz is monitoring the situation and commended first responders. The National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation, working alongside the FAA to recover and evaluate the aircraft.
NTSB investigators are en route to the scene and are expected to arrive tomorrow. Once on site, the investigators will begin the process of documenting the scene and examining the aircraft.
Brooklyn Park Fire Chief Shawn Conway said that after reviewing the scene, they do not believe that anyone on the plane survived after it crashed into a home.
