Petrol and diesel prices rise as crude oil holds steady, but retailers deny they are profiteering

Petrol prices have risen by 1c to an average of €1.74 per litre, while diesel prices have increased by 3c this month to €1.71 per litre.

Jennifer Kilduff stated, 'It's always a good idea for customers to compare the estimated annual bill when doing their research' regarding EV charging cost.

Kevin McPartlan denied any form of profiteering, attributing the rising fuel prices to increased shipping costs and the weakening euro.

He emphasized, 'Crude oil commodity price is just one of the factors which dictate the cost of petrol, diesel and home heating oil.'
