Miguel Aguilar Sarabia, 36, was arrested in connection with multiple home invasions in the San Carlos and Redwood City areas. On January 9, Sarabia forced entry into a San Carlos home at 2 a.m. armed with a gun, demanding money and valuables before escaping on a bicycle. A week later, on January 17, he entered another home where an 89-year-old woman was sleeping upstairs. The caretaker downstairs heard suspicious sounds and called police. Officers arrived to find Sarabia fleeing and recovered his backpack containing stolen costume jewelry, wire cutters, a phone, and a flashlight. Sarabia remains incarcerated with bail set at $1 million.
