The police department's Fatal Accident Investigation Team is looking into the collision, Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Byron White said in an email."
"The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, White said. Vehicular traffic is one-way northbound on that section of Telegraph. The intersection is controlled by traffic lights. It was unclear precisely where Muller and the motorist collided. This marks Berkeley's first fatal cyclist crash of 2025, according to police data. There have been three other fatal collisions so far this year, each involving a motorist and a pedestrian."
