San Francisco experienced a multi-day power outage that forced City Hall to close, prompting some couples to obtain marriage licenses elsewhere and delaying ceremonies. One couple from Dallas called 311 repeatedly and obtained their license in Oakland; another couple rescheduled but held a private celebration. The Orpheum Theatre canceled weekend performances of Moulin Rouge, reducing foot traffic for nearby Sam's American Eatery. Sam's reported approximately $10,000 in lost revenue, discarded refrigerated inventory, and extra labor to restock and prep. Civic Center Market lost frozen goods such as ice cream. Customers and businesses expressed frustration with PG&E updates. Lights resumed this morning.
