A semi-truck and a train collided north of Gilroy early Monday morning without causing major injuries. Emergency personnel from the Santa Clara County Fire Department were dispatched to the site at 7:03 a.m. On arrival, it was confirmed that the train had struck the front of the truck. After the incident, two crew members and 18 passengers on the train were transported by bus. The crash occurred near Masten and Fitzgerald avenues, and authorities responded promptly to the scene.
