The day will start largely dry, though rain will develop in western counties from midday and slowly spread eastwards into the evening. Showers will turn heavy at times in the southwest and south, bringing with them a chance of flooding.
Monday will be dry with bright, sunny spells and some light rain in the northwest of the country. It will be milder than previous days as temperatures are expected to reach between 11 to 15 degrees.
Met Éireann has forecast a week of mixed weather, though conditions will turn milder over the coming days. Tuesday will see outbreaks of heavy rain in places which could lead to spot flooding in southern counties.
The outlook for the coming days show further showers on Saturday and more persistent rain on Sunday, according to Met Éireann.
