"An updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:02 p.m. valid from Tuesday 10 p.m. until Friday Dec. 26, at 10 a.m. for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area. The NWS Reno NV states to prepare for, Snow accumulations between 1 to 2 feet at lake level with 3 to 5 feet above 7,000 feet. Ridgetop gusts as high as 100 mph."
"Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. The combination of strong winds and the weight of heavy snow accumulations could damage trees and power lines, according to the NWS.
