According to an easyJet survey of 2,000 people, 90 per cent of respondents expressed interest in experiencing alternative Christmas traditions, with 80 per cent wishing to travel abroad.
Sophie Dekkers, easyJet's Chief Commercial Officer, stated, 'We hope this list helps inspire both seasoned travellers as well as first-time visitors to explore more of the places they love or visit a new destination and experience its unique customs first hand.'
The poll revealed a ranking where the St Lucia Candlelight Procession in Copenhagen topped the list, as it features a stunning illumination of the amusement park with thousands of lights, cherished by 29 per cent of participants.
Finnish tradition includes a unique Christmas 'ghost sauna' experience, where families connect with departed ancestors on Christmas Eve, highlighting the deeply rooted cultural practices around the festive season.
