Ryan Wedding, a Canadian alleged drug kingpin and former Olympic snowboarder, has been placed on the FBI's most-wanted list as the reward for information leading to his arrest increases to $10 million. He faces multiple U.S. federal charges, including conspiracy to traffic cocaine and involvement in three murders. His network has reportedly been capable of transporting five metric tonnes of fentanyl each month. Officials believe he resides in Mexico under the Sinaloa cartel's protection, posing significant risks due to his wealth and connections.
"The increase in the reward should make it clear: there is nowhere safe for Wedding to hide," LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton told reporters.
"Wedding, who is wealthy, is dangerous and has connections in very high places," said Akil Davis, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office.
