Jonaiki Martinez-Estrella, a gang member convicted in the murder of Lesandro 'Junior' Guzman-Feliz, was found dead in his prison cell at Coxsackie Correctional Facility. Despite efforts to revive him, including CPR and Narcan, paramedics could not resuscitate him. Initially sentenced to life in prison for his role in the machete attack on the 15-year-old, his conviction was later overturned, and he received a new sentence of 25 years to life for second-degree murder and conspiracy. The cause of death is under investigation by the medical examiner.
