2 teens ejected from car that flies off California freeway ramp during police pursuit

Two 17-year-olds were injured after being ejected from a stolen car that crashed during a police pursuit on the 91 Freeway. The incident began late Saturday when officers spotted the stolen vehicle and attempted a stop. The chase ensued, but ended when the driver lost control near an on-ramp, colliding with a power box and flipping down the embankment into a parking lot. Both occupants were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and the driver faces charges for auto theft and felony evading.
The pursuit began around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, when officers saw a car stolen out of Corona near Columbia Avenue and the 215 Freeway.
The driver failed to stop and a short pursuit began on the 91 Freeway, which ended when the driver lost control at the on-ramp.
