A preliminary investigation determined that a white 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck collided with another vehicle while changing lanes before hitting a guardrail on the left side of Circumferential Highway.
The driver of the pickup truck, a Merrimack woman, exited the truck while the vehicle was partially submerged, authorities said.
The pickup truck then drifted over the guardrail and rolled down into the Merrimack River where it "stopped right-side up," the statement said.
She was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
