Camden Council plans to convert car parking spaces into 'green mobility hubs' to promote sustainable transportation options, enhancing public space for non-car owners.
The proposed green mobility hubs aim to include facilities such as shared bikes, car clubs, and electric vehicle charging points, catering to the 65% of households without cars.
These hubs will not only provide travel options but also feature amenities like cycle parking and seating, fostering community engagement and improving local public spaces.
Camden Council is seeking funding for the project through the Levelling Up Fund, with a public consultation currently underway to gather community feedback on the locations.
