Karsan has partnered with RATP to deploy its Autonomous e-Atak vehicle on the Paris 393 bus route, starting in September 2025. The 8-meter autonomous bus, equipped with Adastec's flowride.ai Level-4 automated driving software, has previously been tested and employed in Stavanger, Norway. The vehicle has successfully completed two years of operations, including navigating complex routes. Tests conducted by the French organization UTAC are currently validating the bus's safety and operational capabilities. The project also extends to future operations in Finland and Gothenburg, Sweden.
Karsan has initiated an extensive project with RATP where its Autonomous e-Atak will transport passengers on the Paris 393 bus route beginning September 2025.
The Karsan Autonomous e-Atak is powered by Adastec's flowride.ai Level-4 automated driving software, which has been successfully transporting passengers in Stavanger since 2022.
After two years of operation, Karsan's autonomous bus demonstrated strong performance on challenging routes, including lane changes and high-speed travel in heavy traffic.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş emphasized that the vehicle is currently undergoing testing by UTAC to ensure it meets international safety and operational standards.
