Suspect In San Francisco Carjacking Arrested In Sacramento County After Allegedly Firing at Police

On Thursday night, a suspect in a San Francisco carjacking, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Hurtado, was arrested in Rancho Cordova after allegedly firing at sheriff’s deputies.
As the deputies initiated a vehicle stop, Hurtado accelerated and fired multiple rounds from his vehicle toward the deputies, but they did not return fire.
Hurtado later stopped his vehicle and surrendered without further incident. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported during the altercation.
He is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, and will make an initial appearance in court on December 30.
