Vehicle hit Cork garda's car before occupants took off through the fields

Gardaí are hoping that DNA and fingerprint evidence will help them identify the occupants of a car involved in a hit and run incident in North Cork.

The hit and run left a detective from the North Cork Protective Services Unit requiring hospital treatment after being struck while driving an unmarked patrol car.
