Turo is the car-sharing app used to rent the vehicles involved in deadly New Year's Day incidents in Las Vegas and New Orleans, highlighting the need for safety.
"The goal for us is to continue to grow the business as fast as possible for the next many many years," Andre Haddad, CEO of Turo, told CNBC.
Since its founding in 2009, Turo has evolved from RelayRides to the largest car-sharing app in the US, boasting 360,000 cars listed.
With a variety of around 1,600 makes and models, Turo allows car owners to earn money while providing users easier access to rentals.
