Arsenal's Jonas Eidevall criticized the WSL's fixture planning, emphasizing the impracticality of Chelsea's schedule which led to player welfare concerns and frustration.
Eidevall highlighted that 'out of 16 teams, 13 were scheduled to play on the Friday or Saturday, leaving only three English teams on Sunday, creating scheduling issues.'
He expressed, 'This situation reflects poorly on league planning, as Chelsea faced Manchester United just 48 hours before their crucial Champions League match against Real Madrid.'
In light of the rescheduling, the Women's Professional Leagues Limited acknowledged the concerns raised regarding player welfare and emphasized the need for better scheduling practices.
