Harris rejoins struggling Cambridge as head coach
Briefly

Neil Harris has returned as head coach of Cambridge United on a two-and-a-half-year contract, replacing Garry Monk following a challenging season where the team sits bottom of League One. Harris previously managed the U’s briefly before departing for Millwall, where he is an all-time top goalscorer. The club’s owner acknowledged Harris's past contributions and his potential for future success. Additionally, former manager Mark Bonner has been appointed as director of football, tasked with improving the club's operations and leveraging his deep understanding of its culture and strengths.
Neil left us in a unique set of circumstances last season and we all feel there is unfinished business for him at Cambridge United.
He is a winner and his track record as a head coach speaks for itself.
Mark knows the club inside out - its strengths, its culture and values, and also the areas that we must seek to improve.
Bonner's leadership and strategic thinking can make him an outstanding director of football for us over the long term.
