Former Dowling Catholic player Blake Larson selected by Chicago White Sox in MLB Draft
Briefly

Iowa native Blake Larson moved out of his home state to play baseball at the prestigious IMG Academy in Florida, the hope was that it should one day help his draft stock.
That day arrived Sunday. Larson, a left-handed pitcher, was taken by the Chicago White Sox with the 68th overall pick in this year's MLB Draft.
Larson previously played at Dowling Catholic as a sophomore, going 1-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 27 strikeouts across just 11 2/3 innings of work.
