Bears' Williams: 'Could care less' about criticism
"We win, we lose; people have stuff to say. It was lucky, it was not lucky; people have stuff to say. Have a bad game; have a good game; people have stuff to say. It doesn't matter. We're only worried about what's going on here within this building and with these guys. That's all I can say about that."
"Just some luck on Chicago's part," Aikman said on the broadcast."
Caleb Williams said he could care less about outside commentary and emphasized that external opinions do not change the team's focus. He pointed out that people will always have things to say after wins or losses, but that the Bears are only concerned with work inside the building and with teammates. The Bears rallied from an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Washington Commanders, extending their winning streak to three with a second straight come-from-behind victory. Williams' short pass to D'Andre Swift resulted in a 55-yard touchdown, and analyst Troy Aikman called the play partly the result of a missed tackle and some luck while urging better ball placement to allow more yards after the catch.
