Well, it's the Miami Dolphins who are getting some assistance with team building by bringing in Aikman as a consultant. Originally, Aikman aided in the search for the Dolphins' next head coach and general manager. They landed on Jeff Hafley as their coach and Jon Eric-Sullivan as their GM. Aikman continues to work with the Dolphins in a role that seems yet to be defined and was present in the Miami war room during the NFL draft.

Jayden Daniels wasn't healthy enough to participate in Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs to conclude Week 8. The quarterback's presence was once again sorely missed as the Washington Commanders were left counting the cost of failed opportunities en route to yet another blowout loss. Questions are being raised about this project's current direction. Head coach Dan Quinn's squad was expected to go deep into the playoffs again.

We win, we lose; people have stuff to say. It was lucky, it was not lucky; people have stuff to say. Have a bad game; have a good game; people have stuff to say. It doesn't matter. We're only worried about what's going on here within this building and with these guys. That's all I can say about that.

It may not have been a defining moment for Aikman, but it was a significant one for the quarterback and team. The same may one day be said about Bryce Young and the 2-3 Panthers, who head into Sunday's game against the 2-2-1 Cowboys ( 1 p.m. ET, Fox) after a seemingly improbable 27-24 victory against the Miami Dolphins at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.
