A 70-year-old golfer was injured when a black SUV, being chased by a silver sedan driven by golf course staff, lost control at Billy Caldwell Golf Course in Chicago. Witnesses described the SUV as racing around the course before striking the golfer. Fortunately, he was attended to by fellow golfers and was later transported to St. Francis Hospital. The SUV driver, who reportedly brandished a blade while exiting the vehicle, is now in custody, and the incident has raised concerns about safety during recreational activities.
"The silver sedan starts pursuing the SUV, who's just intent on doing hot laps around the course," golfer Ed Waters told the outlet.
"I come out, and I see this older gentleman laying right there in the grass, and two ladies attending, golfer ladies attending to him," Jim Wolfer said.
"But he's the hero. He chased the guy," golfer Jim Wolfer told the station.
"The GM of the course chased him down to the other hole back there, where there's no outlet, and so kind of pinned him in there, and then the cops came.
