Old issues come storming back for Jake Irvin as Nats get blanked by Cubs

Irvin allowed just four hits Sunday. The problem with that: three of them were home runs, which accounted for nearly all of the Cubs' offense in their 5-0 victory.
Last season, his first in the majors, Irvin had trouble limiting walks and home runs. This year, he has cut his walks per nine innings from 4.0 to 2.3, but Sunday, those problems reappeared.
I think my preparation was pretty poor once we went into the delay. The mindset was fine, but sitting there waiting and picking back up again, things just kind of sped up.
