The Los Angeles Angels acquired left-handed pitcher Jake Eder from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for cash considerations on Monday. Following the acquisition, Eder, who had made just one major league appearance in 2024, allowing a single run against the Angels, was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake. To accommodate Eder on the 40-man roster, the Angels designated right-hander Michael Petersen for assignment. This move follows Eder's brief stint with the White Sox after being acquired from the Miami Marlins a few months earlier.
