Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA appointed Matthew Smith as president, advancing him from senior vice president of sales and marketing. Smith will collaborate with CEO Scott Meader on long-term strategy, innovation, and national expansion. He brings over a decade of beverage industry experience from previous roles at Voss Water, RNDC, Frito-Lay, and Nestlé Waters. MZB-USA operates multiple coffee brands including Chock full o'Nuts, Hills Bros., Segafredo Zanetti, and Kauai Coffee, with roasting facilities in Virginia and New Jersey. Smith's appointment occurs amid challenges at Kauai Coffee, where layoffs affecting 141 workers were rescheduled from March to April following extended negotiations between MZB-USA and landowner Brue Baukol Capital Partners.
