Coffee drinkers are facing a price hike as arabica beans have soared to $3.44 and robusta to $5,694, largely due to weather concerns in major producing countries.
Nestle stated, 'We have seen significant increases in the cost of coffee, making it much more expensive to manufacture our products, but we strive to maintain quality.'
Will Corby from Pact Coffee expressed, 'Huge coffee companies might say these market highs are bad news, but farmers are finally being paid enough to live on.'
Corby further clarified, 'Short harvests in Brazil have contributed, but 2024/25 may see a surplus due to near-perfect growing conditions this year.'
