Alongside captivating visuals, characters like Lois Lane and Lex Luthor feature prominently, signaling a shift towards a more imaginative superhero experience. With a release date set for July 11th, the film aims to capture audience interest with its unconventional narrative style.
During its presentation at this year's CinemaCon, Warner Bros. shared an extended sneak peek from the new Superman, showcasing a very badly-wounded Superman begging for his dog, Krypto.
While it's played for comedy, it's a little morbid to see Superman's body flopping around like most of his bones are broken, dragging into his creative Fortress of Solitude.
The trailer also features longer shots of Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, Metamorpho, and Guy Gardner, revealing a vibrant superhero world.
Gunn is banking on audiences enjoying a wilder, whimsical superhero world in this new Superman movie, which is set to release on July 11th.
