Dak Prescott has a chance to join Drew Brees with an unfortunate stat " Inside The Star
"Too bad yet another incredible season by the play caller of America's Team will be wasted by poor roster choices and an offseason of turmoil with since-traded EDGE Micah Parsons. All-Pro CB Trevon Diggs is gone now, too. He was waived after not following direct orders from HC Brian Schottenheimer after the Christmas Day game in Washington, and deemed expendable."
"The scenery and culture are changing in Dallas, but Prescott remains a steadfast part of the team that fans can rely on more than any other player in the franchise. One facet of the team that has not been reliable is the defense. Under coordinators Mike Zimmer and Matt Eberflus, the Cowboys have managed the two worst scoring defenses in franchise history in back to back seasons."
Dak Prescott is having an MVP-type season, leading the NFL in passing yards through 17 games with 4,482 yards. The Cowboys are out of playoff contention amid roster decisions and offseason turmoil, including the trade of Micah Parsons and the waiver of All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs. Diggs was waived after not following direct orders from head coach Brian Schottenheimer and later joined Parsons in Green Bay via a successful waiver claim. The Cowboys defense has been unreliable, posting the two worst scoring defenses in franchise history under coordinators Mike Zimmer and Matt Eberflus. Prescott could join Drew Brees as the only QB to lead the league in passing while his defense allowed the most points.
