The Philadelphia Eagles have successfully negotiated a reworked contract with tight end Dallas Goedert, keeping him with the team for the 2025 season. Originally entering the final year of a lucrative four-year deal, Goedert will now earn $10 million for the upcoming season, with the potential for an additional $1 million in incentives. Trade discussions had taken place, and the reworking reflects both budgetary constraints faced by the Eagles and Goedert's willingness to stay with the franchise. General Manager Howie Roseman commended Goedert's contributions both on and off the field.
"Dallas has been a tremendous player and person for us... We have a tremendous respect for him in both those regards as a player and a person."
Goedert understood the budget concerns and was ultimately amenable to a reworked deal to stay in Philly, a source said.
