Business leaders are having a crisis of confidence over data literacy
Briefly

Business leaders are increasingly compelled to base decisions on data as the demand for data-driven strategies escalates, particularly with the rise of AI. However, many leaders struggle due to inadequate data literacy and trust issues, as confidence in data's accuracy and relevance has markedly declined since 2023. More than 70% feel their careers are tied to their data-handling capabilities. The solution proposed by Salesforce is 'agentic analytics,' which unifies data and empowers AI to provide timely insights, thus promoting data accessibility even for those less familiar with it.
"There is an increasing amount of pressure on business leaders to use data in today's hyper-competitive environment," said Southard Jones, chief product Officer of Tableau, Salesforce's analytics platform.
"Agentic analytics offers a solution by unifying data and empowering AI agents to proactively deliver trusted, real-time insights to everyone, enabling data-driven decisions for everyone - even those who don't consider themselves 'data people,'" said Jones.
